Project Scope

This was a two-floor engineering project for a new office building, including fully customized furniture throughout the facility. The goal was to support daily operations, team collaboration, and public reception in one cohesive environment.

Client Needs and Design Approach

Based on the client’s requirements, every office furniture set was customized for the new building. The workspace was planned around personal work zones and communication areas, with smooth transitions between focused tasks and collaboration.

Because the office also serves visiting members of the public, the layout had to support both efficient internal work and welcoming reception. Jones Chou developed the plan from engineering drawings and on-site dimensions to ensure each product fit the space precisely.


The environment was organized into staff areas, administration zones, conference rooms, reception spaces, rest areas, and logistics support. This structure helped each department work efficiently while maintaining clear circulation and access.

The administrative office hall uses a partition-based layout to separate functions and improve workflow. Light tones and modern finishes were selected to keep the space bright, practical, and professional.

Workspace Solutions

Staff Workstations

Different workstation colors were used to distinguish team areas and support wayfinding. Each desk was paired with a three-drawer mobile cabinet, and front panels were designed with pinboard material for quick posting of notices and task updates.

To match the company’s young and active culture, many stations were arranged in open-plan clusters. One zone uses C30 partition desks with XS series office chairs, while another uses a C60 modular system with rotating whiteboard panels to improve privacy and acoustic comfort.


Conference and Reception Areas

Meeting spaces were sized according to use type and group size, using different configurations for formal and informal discussions. The planning supports both team coordination and external reception needs.

Conference room table and chairs: mainly according to the purpose of reception and meetings, as well as the number of people using different sizes of meeting rooms.It allows staff to enjoy different degrees of privacy in the same space.In the main conference room, there are customized heavy-duty 26-person heavy-duty conference tables, which are dedicated to multi-person meetings, and enough power cord boxes are reserved.In the reception room, the C60 type consultation partition is dedicated to small meetings and can accommodate two people.


The same rooms can shift between focused individual work and small meetings for 2–3 people. This gives the office flexibility without structural renovation and helps maximize the value of every square meter.

Executive Offices

Executive offices were designed for heavier document and archive use. Xusheng heavy-duty desks were paired with integrated filing features and mobile three-drawer units that support hanging folders.

Because administration teams are distributed across different zones, side desks were designed as movable units instead of fixed all-in-one pieces, improving flexibility for layout changes. The desks are matched with BaoKuan series office chairs, balancing comfort, quiet, and daily practicality.

Efficiency and Flexibility Enhancements

Different work styles were considered across the office. Some zones support standing work with wall-mounted or mobile whiteboards, high tables, and stools to encourage movement and quick discussion.

Other areas were made more private and calm, offering places for calls or concentrated work. To keep each station clean and functional, desktop cable boxes were installed throughout.

Where space was limited, standard drawer units were replaced with mobile three-drawer cabinets for easier movement and better adaptability. Additional hanging-folder functionality was included to improve document organization.
